Hope everyone had a great holiday and New Year! 2013 will be a fabulous year for French Bull. We will be releasing two great new patterns and some great new items that you guys will adore. All new products should be released the beginning of February!

To recap the end of 2012, we had our French Bull holiday party at an eclectic restaurant in New York City’s Chinatown called Congee Bowery. After a delectable dinner of various family style appetizers and entrees, we played a French Bull version of Yankee Swap. Each employee had to make a gift that included their favorite French Bull pattern. Here are two of our favorites of the night:

Our basement here at the office is full of products that, at one point or another, French Bull has licensed patterns to. One of those happens to be gift wrap from our license with The Gift Wrap Company. A few of us went down stairs to take holiday wrapping paper for our own personal use when one of our designers had a brilliant idea: she was going to wrap her apartment door in French Bull wrapping paper. Genius. The next day she comes to the office with pictures of her front door, and it was adorable. So, that day I decided to decorate our door here at the French Bull offices with our glamorous gift wrap. It was super easy, and festively brightened our office. All you need is a roll of your favorite French Bull gift wrap, some scissors, and double stick tape. I used an exacto knife for the peep hole and locks, but scissors will work fine as well. Look for our gift wrap at Michael’s or The Container Store! Happy door wrapping!

Happy Early Thanksgiving everyone!

While Thanksgiving is mostly considered a North American holiday, the idea of setting aside one day a year to give thanks can be seen all over the world. Most festivals are in some way connected to the United States of America,  like Canada and Liberia, while others have no connection what so ever. China, Vietnam, and many African countries have a harvest festival sometime in August, and Jewish families celebrate Sukkoth to remember the 40 year journey of the Hebrew people to the Promised Land. Our neighbor to the north feasts on Mr. Gobble Gobble on the second Monday of October. Grenada and Japan adopted the customs after American occupation of their countries, while Liberians, mostly descendants of escaped slaves, simply took the traditions back to their homeland.  All of these celebrations, while celebrated at different times of the year in many diverse walks of life, they all center around families and close friends gathering together to celebrate and give thanks for a bountiful harvest.

This makes Thanksgiving a great hosting holiday! Below are a few pictures of a few of our collections for table service. Our platters are great for turkey service, and, of course, don’t forget about our savory storage containers for all those leftovers!
